Hi,

I have a quick question. Regarding SEO, it is pretty well known that content and on-page SEO is a big part of SEO itself. But what if the website is a "service" website and doesn't necessarily have the 500-1000 word articles everyone else has. Is the only SEO to do on this going to be off page SEO (backlinking, social media) and just being an authority in the niche?

What SEO can be done for these websites with only maybe 3 or 4 pages of content (that is the short About page, a page briefly describing their services, and maybe a Contact Us page)?

Thanks guys.

Just add articles to the site which are relevant.

Yes, I was thinking of creating a whole new "blog" area where it's just articles explaining why the service is needed, benefits, and stuff talking about the niche.

Well that is what I normally do, and add relevant videos from YouTube as separate posts.

Yeah,if Article are relevant to the sites..without any hesitation add it.

A blog is your best bet. Not that you can't rank the site as it is, but a blog will help it rank for more keywords and protect it from panda penalties.
