Of course they won't ban you if you have too much money; it is in their own interest that you have some cash in your account (this is how every bank in the world works).

But anyway storing too much money in a paypal account is no good idea, you never know what could happen.
You'd better transfer your money to your own "real" bank account as soon as possible to be safe.

If your verified with vcc and bank account and have had your limits lifted by providing documentation then they won't do anything unless it looks extremely dodgy.

New users will need to verify if they exceed £1900 monkies in one year as that's the receiving limit for new users.

    Hope this helps.

You can keep $$$$$$$$$$ etc also but your account must be fully verified paypal verifies 3 times where you must verify it and also you must be in touch with paypal i.e why are you keeping that much money in your account or what is your business ...means paypal team asks you everything so try to keep a grip on them.

Then I wouldn't worry that much, but then again PayPal are pricks and will limit you for no reason without any warning.

I wouldn't keep more then 500 with PayPal in one account. Once you got your money there withdraw as fast as possible.

You should build up gradually. Do not keep a lot of money at the beginning. Try to withdraw when you can. Many people have a painful experience with Paypal.

My advice. Don't leave any significant amount in any online provider. FULLSTOP. I withdraw almost all weekly so the worst I can lose is a weeks worth of income. I leave some in there to keep them happy and vary this amount... There are no bank fees to withdraw when its over a certain limit which I can't remember...something like $200US from memory

I would only keep 10 dollars or less. You never know what will happen and they will block your money cause you accidentally logged in lets say from a different ip address. Paypal is a fucked up company and any money you accept i would withdrawal it right away.

I had almost $80K once in paypal without any problem. My observations:

    1) Too many small transactions (< $50) can trigger alert in paypal system (leading eventually to account limitation/review)
    2) Few large transactions (> $10K) can trigger alert in paypal system
    3) Quickly withdrawing money as soon as it is received in paypal will trigger alerts
    4) Logging into your account from multiple locations (geo IP) can trigger alert
    5) Logging into your account from an IP which was used to login to another limited account will trigger alert.

I used this (and another account) for receiving payments from my clients over a two year period without any problems. Amount varied between 1K to 15K per transaction.

My accounts got limited when I received a large payment and tried to withdraw immediately. I did get my money after waiting 180 days (I didn't want to submit any documents to remove limitations).

    All my transactions were genuine

    Hope that helps

I would never trust PayPal with such a large sum of money!

Also thanks for the information, number 3 is very true. I got limited for that reason!

Did you create a new PayPal account after yours got limited?

Yes and it works as of now. I use "doing business as" name instead of my name.
