Which one do you prefer org or .net for emd?

If you're building a Micro Niche site, I recommend .org.
But if you're building an authority site, I guess .net is better. Sure as others have experienced, rankings come easier for .org, but I always have the perception that org is for organization.
Unless your site is for an organization, it may mislead the audience, brand wise. That's why for authority, I'd sacrifice a bit and pick .net.
.com, as always, is best.

Correct, .org is for a non profit organization and most people on the internet when they see .org believe that is what it is. I have had quite a few good experiences on both. being an EMD if it is a easy to medium keyword it won't matter as much.
