Quick Noob Question - How to attach domain and hosting?

look at the info that you got for your free hosting account. It will give you the dns settings like
ns1.xyz.com
ns2.ght.com
Once you have these now go to where you bought the domain names from and log in. There will be a tab to change the name server settings. Once on that tab replace the default dns settings to yours for the hosting account gave you.

Leave the ip column blank.
Log in to your byteh0st control panel>>Go to "Addon Domains" (under "Domains)>>add your domain. You don't have to use all 5 name servers though. It may take up to a day or 2 to populate DNS.
That's about it. PM me if you need anything else. I'm using both myself.

Not unless you wanna forward your url to another site.
Wait around a bit more. If you intend to install wp, now is as good a time as any to work on it (upload your themes, plugins, etc)
