Hello everyone, just have a quick magento question, is there a way to disable the shopping cart at certain times automatically. For example if I want to disable checkout from 5pm-6am everyday is this possible to do?

There's an extension on Magento Connect called Hide Cart & Prices, I'm fairly certain this can be modified to run on a schedule.

Yes you can use Magento hide price module on connect which will temporarily block payment processing.
