Quick Keyword Research Question

Hey guys I am going to start my first micro niche/mini authority site soon and I am doing my keyword research now. I am not going to state my keyword but these are the stats I have gathered and how I found them:
Global Exact Monthly Searches: 6,600
Local USA Exact:2,400
I used the google keyword tool
Estimated Average CPC: $0.92-$1.13
I used google adwords traffic estimator, typed in my keyword and set a Max CPC of $2.00

Now for my two questions. Did I find CPC correctly? If not can someone inform me of the best way to do this? In addition and EMD is not available but bestXXXXXXXZZZZZZZZZZZYYYY is (XXXXXXXZZZZZZZZZZZYYYY being my keyword), will this be too long for a domain?

To get the actual bid advertisers pay select "tool and analysis" on Google keyword tool and type in your keywords.
Ensure you sign in for full access to the tool.

If not can someone inform me of the best way to do this? In addition and EMD is not available but bestXXXXXXXZZZZZZZZZZZYYYY is (XXXXXXXZZZZZZZZZZZYYYY being my keyword), will this be too long for a domain?

That would be extremely long have a number of implications like your url won't be viewed in full in the search engines which will end up killing your chances of getting known by name, it will not be remembered, there are a few sites that you will not be .

You can be creative and come with something much shorter.

Your sub pages can be long but certainly not your main domain.

first of all thanks for your answers they were very helpful. I don't quite follow your explanation of how to find advertiser bids? Do you mean to look at that graph the traffic estimator shows you?

The google keyword tool will give you a good indication of CPC. Remember that you only receive about 60% of that though! When it comes to EMD's you can add a word before or after your keyword - as you mentioned, or you can insert dashes between the words. If you are going to use the word 'best', make sure people searching your keyword will be looking for the 'best' whatever it is or they may be put off clicking through to your page.
