Ok, so it's only 1 link, but because of their PR it should get indexed quickly which is great for a new site i.e I submitted 2 documents yesterday and the links are showing up on Google today:

    Submit a PDF to -
    http://www.scribd.com/

Not a great way of getting a high-pr backlink to your site necessarily, but getting a backlink in under 24 hours should get your site crawled pretty quickly - and it doesn't matter what you submit as they accept anything you have legit copyright for.

    Cheers,
    Niggles

Damned straight they are - do a Google on "www.worldmusicfinder.com" and link #2 contains the 2 articles I put on http://www.scribd.com yesterday.

    Cheers,

Yes. It you create a PDF or word document and then include your link in the description and/or your link in the actual PDF/Doc file, Google does spider these links and you have a backlink

I was going to include this in next weeks newsletter tip ;)

Looks like everyone gets 2 tips of the week this week...lol :)

    i just use open office

copy paste the site/article (Will paste images and links too if you want to keep/change them)
    or write a new one
export as pdf - upload to site

can anyone give a decent list of sites like scribd to upload to.

i uploaded 2 pdfs at about 12.30 last night, and its 8am now and both are indexxed (Although not ranking for any keyword) the site i linked to still is indexed yet though.
