Well, not exactly a hack but many Reddit marketers tend to overlook this...

When looking for Subreddits to share your brand message in (ie., participate to get enough credibility to eventually share your self-serving/brand-building content), you DON'T HAVE TO REINVENT THE WHEEL.

Just click on the profile links of active members - especially those who create threads.

A lot of them open the same discussions in related subreddits.

Join subreddits they are members of which fit your NICHE TARGET

In a few minutes, you can easily put together a DISTRIBUTION LIST for your stuff!

Let your fellow marketers do your homework for you :) :)

Sometimes we get caught in trying complex things that we forget simple and efficient ways like this.

Yeah and then dm them or share your product/service on the subreddit. Redditors looks down on unsolicited messages and self promotion. There are ways to make good money from Reddit but this is not it.

DO NOT DM - look at the subreddits they post to - if they are marketers, these will be in niche subreddits
If the subreddits fit your target niche, join those

The key is to build a distribution list for your content/posts/self-serving memes

DO NOT DM - you'll probably get flagged

The proper way to market on Reddit is to become CREDIBLE by sharing USEFUL info on TARGETED NICHE subreddits

Okay build a list and then what? I get the no dm part. Invite them to your subreddit?
 
I don't regularly use Reddit. Can someone explain this in simple terms
