Quick Guest Blogging Tip For White Hats

Within the last few months I've been building a few authority pages and I accept guest bloggers there.

So far, so good. But, BOY, the applications I receive are in many cases very mediocre. It's not even about the content itself on those websites from bloggers who want to get some links from my site. No, it's about the ads (AdSense, Clickbank, CPAs). I've even had people applying with blogs that had popup ads implemented. *ouch*

I'm in this game a few years now so I know that - as a blogger - you also have to eat and thus make money via your blog...

But please just take those ads down temporarily when asking for a guest blogging opportunity. The webmaster looking at your site will be more than happy to see not just another bannerfarm just trying to leech link juice from him.

Those webmasters who have aged domains with a high domain authority might be a bit more picky about your inquiries than I am!

I also received some guest blog pitches from bloggers and SEO specialists. And sometimes, I get irritated because their emails are too generic. They couldn't even address me by my name.
