Quick Flipping Question.

If I purchased a Hostgator Reseller Account of say 50GB Space, the lowest one. Is that 50GB to host all my websites? or is that 50GB given per site I create?

I went to hostgator but they dont really tell you anything.

50GB total is what you get if that is what is offered. They have no idea how many websites you're going to put on it but if they say you get 50GB of drive space then that is all you're allowed, whether you put one website on there or a dozen.

Ok thanks, just double checking since all the flipping guides say the 50gb is more than enough to host sites but it's not really.

That's the issue when people launch "flipping" guides and have never actually done it themselves

If you're just starting out, I would recommend being a hosting affiliate rather than reseller. If you start getting a lot of demand and can deal with the support required to run a host, then by all means off that as well, but starting out it's really not necessary.

Thanks for the advice, thats a good idea. I already have a hostgator affiliate account to use so I'll knock up some coupons and give them out to people who buy my sites. Thanks again.

Being a hosting reseller has allot of duties and security issues involved. I tried this when I first started out. I did about $500 roughly in sales my first month. Come to find out, I start receiving chargebacks for nearly half of what I made. Half of my hosting customers were scammers! Some of you may have realized the security companies like HostGator perform on their new accounts before activating their account.

I agree with Meathead on this one. Start a hosting reviews web site as an affiliate. Less upkeep involved, no security risks, no support needed to be handled, and companies like HostGator pay up to $125 per sale you refer!
