There are multiple elements but basically if you can’t create new ads or the “Create” / “oost post” button is greyed out then that is a red flag. Also, a big drop in impressions, clicks, conversions etc.. this is what shows the account is at a risk of being scanned. Eventually..

You can open BM and check the status of the accounts there, or you can also see the notification when the accounts cannot set up ads on the account. Normally when Facebook scans the account, we cannot know in advance that it will come unexpectedly and the account can be working well and then die immediately after that.

Yeah, just keep an eye out for weird login activity or sudden account restrictions. If your ads get flagged a lot or there’s a sudden drop in performance, it could be a red flag too.

you can check them in account overview or BM, more importantly you need to clean ads before publishing so it will happen less

every time facebook opens a scan, as long as bm has an active account, it will almost certainly be scanned
for accounts that are 100% clean, facebook will almost never scan

A huge drop of impressions or clicks and convertions is a sign that an account is being scanned by facebook.

Here are three quick indicators that a Meta Business Manager / Ad Account might be at risk:
1. Mismatch between billing/payment country and the account’s registered country (or frequent changes in payment methods).
2. High volume of disapproved ads, landing-pages that don’t match ad creative, or lots of negative feedback from users.
3. Unusual admin access or changes (new users with poor history, multiple IPs/countries logging in), unpaid bills or linked disabled accounts.

Facebook account scans often happen unexpectedly, immediately locking down an active account, and a Business Manager is almost certainly going to be scanned if it contains active ad accounts. While you cannot predict when a wave will hit, you can monitor the situation by checking your BM or looking for notifications that you cannot set up ads. Conversely, 100% "clean" accounts are rarely targeted by the system.

you can go to BM account and check right there if your account is just clean ads then i think the problem of being locked is hard to happen

advertising accounts are often suspended when you have just posted an ad, or created an ad but have not posted it yet
or accounts where you have not done anything or even added a payment method but are still suspended, you should be careful with such accounts and avoid them

There are many ways to check if an account has been disabled by Meta. You may see a grayed out campaign creation button, or a red warning in the account section, etc. Meta will also notify you exactly which account they have disabled so you can check and appeal.

When you see a sudden drop in spending, an unusual increase in CPM, or your account status changes to “under review”, it's time to back up your assets (Page, pixel, domain) and temporarily stop expanding for 24–48 hours.

If your BM contains accounts with inconsistent spending histories, mismatched information, or unusual behavior, the chances of being scanned are much higher. You can also check your Account Quality, as sudden drops often precede restrictions

you should pay attention if you see an unusual drop in ad performance, are restricted from creating new campaigns, or lose access to the asset manager. these are early signs that your BM is under review or about to be scanned.
