I have a quick blog question.

Google likes autoblogs because they get updated. My question is, when we say updated, are referring to the main blog domain being updated only? Does the other pages of the domain being updated count as an update, no, or partial?

For example, if I have a wordpress theme installed with a static theme on the home page and the only thing updated is the "posts" page for example, will that not be counted as the blog being updated at all?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I don't really understand the question :)
If you have a Blog and you're adding posts / pages to it it's being updated.

Google would appear to like Blogs that are updated and have quality unique content on them. If it's a spammy Blog with trashy / duplicated content that adds no value to the visitor I don't think they like them so much.

In my experience trashy Autoblogs can rank well to begin with but quickly fall out of favour which means you need to keep building more Blogs to get the same result. I've had better results mixing good / unique content in amongst the Auto posted stuff. This does mean however the Blog is not entirely hands off and does require some of my time.

I'm sure it's possible to get good results with an entirely automatic Autoblog but I haven't managed to do that yet.

My question is that the website has a wordpress blog installed onto it. Is there a difference between the actual domain :

www.domainhere.com having posts that are constantly being updated or is updating :

    www.domainhere.com/?page_id=xx having updated posts different?

    I think I understand.

The number of posts showing on the root of your Blog depends on the number you've set in Settings.>Reading->Blog pages show at most. So some of the posts will show on the main page.

Adding new posts will cause some of them to "Fall Off" the page and not show. It's still classed as adding a new page so yes Google see it as fresh content and see the Blogg as being upated (assuming Google indexes the pages)
