My Amazon.in affiliate account got approved within hours.
Majority of my visitors are from the US. So I applied for a Amazon.com affiliate account coz cost will be shown in USD. But it's been 2 days and my account hasn't been approved yet.

When promoting Amazon.in affiliate link, the product cost is shown in INR when someone visits the product page. I think that will confuse some of the potential buyers from US and put them off.

Indian guys banking from Amazon, what do you suggest me?
Should I change my Amazon.in affiliate link from .in to .com? Will I get paid for such sales ?

Example: www.amazon.in/blahblah/my_affiliate_id/ to www.amazon.com/blahblah/my_affiliate_id/

Your account wont get fully approved until you have an item get shipped.I dont know about any of that stuff but make sure your account is actually approved before you do anything.

Apply for all Amazon programs.. US, UK, JP, GER etc... Put the plugin which will automatically recognize your visitor by IP and send him to proper Amazon store...

Cool. This advice is exactly what I needed. My Amazon.in account got approved. So can I use this one account and direct people to different Amazon stores based on their country and still earn commission?
Or should I apply to all Amazon stores?
Please tell me one's enough.

They will send you an email if your account has been approved.
Able to access the store to get links doesn't mean that your account is approved.

Then, can I use only the .in link to earn commission for sales throughout the world? Coz only my Amazon.in affiliate account is approved.
Will people buy if the cost is displayed in INR?

No. You'll earn the commission based on country of the Amazon site where your visitor buy the product. If your visitor from India/throughout the world, buy a product through Amazon.in, then you'll earn your commission. But since you don't have associate account for Amazon US&UK, if your visitor buy a product from Amazon.com / Amazon.co.uk, even though they clicked on your (amazon.in) affiliate link, you wont get the commission.
Hope that makes you clear

If majority of your visitors are from the US you should apply for it, better apply for all of them and use a plugin like amazon localizer or easyazon to redirect users to the amazon stores of their respected countries

Even i want to know more about this.

Do all items listed in amazon.in available in other countries??
How does the plugin manage to redirect the user when "Product A" is only available in amazon.in and not .com and vice-versa.

May I know what's the sample email message amazon sends indicating that i am approved?

So far there is a toolbar on top of the page as I browse amazon site and I could get the link and able to create tracking ids. Does it mean I am approved?

Yep, EasyAzon is the best for this but first apply for all Amazon accounts...

bumping this thread... and also, is there are a way to obtain the amazon affiliate link for each product without clicking the upper left link for each product page?

Search for products by selecting category and subcategory(optional).
Get links for multiple products at a time from the results shown.

Hi OP

did you get approval for amazon.com or any other countries associate accounts. if yes did you get any approval confirmation mail and mail subject please?

How many days need to wait after website developed for applying amazon associates that means can we apply it with 1 week old website?

do we need any minimum traffic for applying amazon associates?

Please help me on my questions

I got approved only for Amazon.in. Waiting for Amazon.com for approval. They will approve only after a sale.
Mail subject was 'Amazon.in Associates program - your application approved'
Website age is not a criteria. Don't know about minimum traffic.
