Questions regarding affiliate wordpress site

I recently created a wordpress affiliate niche/store website adverting products from CJ.

I have a few questions on how to format the website to rank in Google.

The home page shows recent posts with thumnails and on the top of the page I am using feature content gallery.

I also have all in one seo and tubepress installed.

Another question that I have is, Should I add more content? If so, what should I add and where should I add it?

What are some ways of driving traffic to my website? What kind of content should I add? How can I rank on Google?

Make a special category on your website where you can add text content. Articles weight a lot in these days, text content being the number one factor used by Google to value a website. The more content you have the better your rankings will be.
 
Should the home page have content? Should I have a static front page with content? Or is it good the way it is?
 
Okay I want to have a separate blog page that I only want the articles to show up on. I do not want them to appear with with the post that contain the products I am promoting.

I created a custom page template called blog, but it shows all posts. How can I only show posts from a certain category (i.e content).

also how can I remove the content posts from the home page/post page?

I heard you can only have one page with posts and all the other pages are static.

In wordpress, find Menus under the Appearance Tab - You can add a menu that only lists items from a certain category! :)

And remove posts.. as in , show them on one page and don't show them on another (ex homepage?). All the post settings you need are found in the posts tab in Wordpress. If you don't want a post to show up, you can always unpublish.
 
Is this your custom them? From where I can get this?

For traffic you can create pages with text content and link keywords to categories.

I believe the theme was made by studiopress, but it seems they no longer sale it. I think the name is church.
