Hi all,

just thinking to start testing CPA promotions through FB Ads and I wish to have clarified these points:

1) Is it safe to put the CPA link directly in the FB Ad url (obviously shortened) or is it ALWAYS better to use a dedicated domain with redirect?

2) If using a domain is the response to previous, is that better for avoiding getting banned from FB or is it just better for coversions (or for both)?

3) What is a reasonable minimum investment to start some "shy" test?

Thanks in advance.

It's not a good idea to directly link a CPA offer to a FB ad.

Minimum investment depends on the niche, and whether CPC or CPM is being used.

Yes, I was referring to CPC, sorry for not having specified.

Can you explain why direct link is not a good idea?

Thanks.

Facebook bans you very fast when you direct link they are cracking down more and more on that.

If I use a domain, it should not be that difficult for them to see it redirect to a CPA offer, isn't it?

So I am looking for the safer way to do that.

I don't have any problems direct linking to cpa offers on FB. You just have to make sure there are no exit pops and there is a clear privacy policy on your offer. Email and zip submits are not a good idea with direct linking OR a good idea in general.

Standard lead gen / edu / insurance lead / mortgage.. I run them all the time with no cloaking / landing pages at all. You just make sure your adcopy is not misleading or bullshitting in any way.

Listen to who / what you want, but there is nothing against FB TOS for promoting CPA offers.

Stay away from rebills and weight loss / make money shit / email and zips and promote solid lead gen deals... just my experience

you can also use cloaking if you want to be banned eventually and lose your 2-5k account.

Redirecting is not a problem or full page iframe if its your site... At least for me.

A big No for direct linking. You will be banned straightaway. People in FB loves to stay in, so the best strategy is to link your ad to a Fan page (where you will promote your CPA offer after approval of your Ad of course) not to an external link. If you want to do the later you can make a content rich website (just copied content), link to it, after approval just redirect it to your CPA link.
Look at the started threads by http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/members/128823-mojstermiha.html, you can learn many things and try to download the WSOs he suggests.
Hope it helps.

Thanks Johnny, definitely useful especially to learn what to avoid, given that diet, zip and email were what I had in mind on the first place!
