Questions Concerning Blog

I have a few questions concerning a blog that I just started in a particular niche: (any answers/input is appreciated!)

1. How many hits per day should I have before considering implementing Adsense and/or shortlinks?

2. Should I go with ad fly or shorte.st? (for shortlinks)

3. When should I purchase the domain name for the blog? If at all? (it's a Blogger so I think I should buy a domain, but what do you think?)

EDIT: 4. I'm currently publishing one article per day, scheduled to automatically post at 6:30am (so that I can work ahead of sched some days and have some articles queued up already). Is this good or should I do a different format?

1. There's no certain limit defined for when to implement AdSense. A general rule is that you should have some visitors and complying with Policy Terms.

2. I don't recommend AdFly or other programs as the earning potential isn't very high, unless you've shitload of visitors.

3. Buy the domain today if you've the funds. The sooner the better. It's a must, you need full control over your website.

4. Adjust your publishing time according to your audience. Measure the time of the day when you've the most visitors online.

1. I use ads from 100 per day
2. If your links are going to good trusted sites, you don't need to make redirects, cloaking, etc
3. It's up to you. I use godaddy
4. It's depending on your number of articles. It's better to use different time and periods between posting, so, it will be more natural

I would just get the domain now, register just for 1 year, that's a good trial period and it's cheap enough.

On a new site I would be more interested in having my viewers read through my content and hopefully share it rather than getting part way through and bouncing off from an ad. So on a new site(regardless of the hits your getting), just focus on content, build up some site authority and a following then have fun with ads.

There's no exact rule for this; I believe my own Adsense site was approved back when it only had 50 unique visitors a day.

What type of links are you shortening? Outbound links? Internal link? I wouldn't use a link shortener for either.

3. When should I purchase the domain name for the blog? If at all? (it's a Blogger so I think I should buy a domain, but what do you think?)

If you have traffic visiting your site, around what time does the traffic peak? If your traffic has a peak time, I would post it around there.
