Hey guys,

TF & CF

I have read that making a 301 redirect is bad for SEO because it makes the page lose google juice, TF and CF.

Is it true? From a logical point, it shouldn't because everything the old page had is now definitively transferred to the new page, no?

Does NoFollow links give TTF Value ?

If I want my website to improve its TTF in (Computer / Sofware /internet)

Will a nofollow BL from a website with a strong TTF in (Computer / Sofware /internet) will help me?

Website Architecture & SEO

One of the goals in SEO is to push every page of a website to its maximum potential.
Of course, every website has main pages but how do you quantify the number of links in order to push the Homepage, main categories, final page?

Thank you :)

No idea where you read this honestly, but it doesn't make any sense. And even if the site were to lose TF then so what? Not that it matters. Also, CF is a spam metric. Read this please - https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/c...osts-metrics-spam-and-niche-relevancy.916518/

Nofollow links do not have impact on Trust Flow at all, so no, it won't improve your TTF. Also, why do you care about improving your topical trust flow? Will it help you to get more traffic? Rank better? No it won't.

301 redirects result in around a 15% loss of PageRank. Matt Cutts confirmed this in 2013 when he explained that a 301 loses the exact same amount of PageRank as a link from one page to another.
302s don’t pass PageRank. By definition, 302s are temporary. So it makes sense for search engines to treat them different.
HTTPS migrations lose PageRank. This is because they typically involve lots of 301 redirects.

Hey,

Thnks for your answers guys.

@Nargil I just read all your article, nice work! But if improving TF, TTF, CF (via quality Netlinking campaign) & write great content won't help me rank and get more traffic, what will?

TF/TTF are just metrics. Google algorithm doesn't care about third party metrics. You should be pleasing Google, not Majestic.

Google juice is not related to tf/cf, its a different metric altogether. Focus upon Google and ranking factors instead of third party metrics.

Ok, it's third-party metrics but for me they try to "describe" as close as possible Google ranking factors (even if we know it's far from the truth, but that's all we got) else I really understood nothing :(

For what I understood until now, in order to rank what a website needs:

Great OnSite (but not the subject here...)

Great OffSite => Powerful BL coming from powerful websites call them authority websites or websites with a high TF...

Google juice is not related to tf/cf, its a different metric altogether.

How is it no related? Each link transfer Google juice so if I get a BL I get some of it's Google juice too, no?

If it's not this please help me understand where I am wrong, or help my mind to achieve a 301 redirect to the "Hum ok now I understand" ;)

Thank you
