Questions about Social Bookmarking from a newbie !

Hi everyone !

Sorry for my English, I'm a French newbie girl (relative newbie, see on my presentation) who needs some help about social bookmarking. I'll do my best to be the most understandable possible


I'm building a painting website (my brothers is digitalizing my paintings) and I want to use Videos to promote it.


So, I've purchased "Youtube Cash Secret" by Chad Kimball and this guy recommends to social bookmark with the free tool SOCIAL MARKER.


I know there are a few social bookmarking tools which we could have for about 150 bucks but I prefer to start slowly and I don't want to pay before I understand well the process


What do you think about this free service SOCIAL MARKER ? Except the fact that Social Marker bookmark our URL to "only" 50 social bookmarking sites, what is the difference between Social Marker and the others like Bookmark Deamon, Social Submitter etc ?

(I precise that I know that we have to sign up manually with the 50 sites with Social Marker but like you understood, my questions is about the efficiency of the different services - High PR and Google trust etc)

The fact is I just want to create backlinks for the same Video URL, that's all.

- So if I keep the same video URL and I change the title, the description and the tags, will my video URL have more backlinks ?
- If I bookmark the same URL again and again (every week), will my video have more backlinks ?

(Because I guess we cannot socialbookmark the same video URL multiple times with the same titles, descritption and tags, right ?)

Or maybe signup at Traffic Geyser. It's free for the first 30 days. And just cancel on day #29/#30. You'll be amazed at how good their service is at submitting your videos successfully to many accounts.

There is also Hey! Spread, works with buying credits (similar to istockphoto, etc).
One credit is $0.05 or €0.05. Pay as you go options as well. Or pay afterwards, something along those lines.

But maybe there are free tools here at BHW from members. Don't know.

Still if I were you, I would get as many videos as possible ready, and use the full month to submit them with Traffic Geyser's free month service. In addition to the other scripts/services available.

You know what, about Traffic Geyser, it is exactly what I've been doing for a week

I was just browsing their site and it looks impressive, seriously. I'm pretty sure I will coninue with them after my trial month.

In fact, I found that Traffic Geyser hasn't enough Bookmarking sites available, and
that's why I've send this post. I want the most chances with me :rofl: (no, my hairs are not like that hihi...)

So I will give a try with TG, then with Social Marker, use a audience measurement script and optimize.

I know that "put in your 2 Euro cent" is an expression but I'm not sure :
Does it mean "To participate" ?

But that's just "my two pennies worth" / "my tuppence worth".
