I'm going through a Shopify guide on here which pretty much just goes through the basics of how to set up your store and what not, but I have a few concerns.
In the thread, the OP just says you can put random numbers for your Tax ID and SIN number. Is this legal? Also, when inputting personal information (address, first and last name, ZIP, etc.), should I put in my real info or just put in fake info?
I don't mind putting in my personal info on anything, but I just don't understand what the benefit is if I choose to put in "random numbers." I don't really want to have any risk of going to jail for fraud or getting sued. Sorry for the newbie questions people, just trying to get into the right direction!
