Questions about Parasites

Hello, i am kinda new at this and have some basic questions about parasites.

If i am trying to rank my money site for a keyword and make a post on my money site about that keyword. Should i be making a similar post on medium for the same keyword and give my money site a backlink, then use backlinks to rank the medium post therefore having a high DA backlink to my money site?

Also should i be publishing the same articles on Medium, Reddit etc and giving my money site credit for the article or writing a similar article and mention the money sites article?

Truth to be told I did not see any improvement in the rankings from this.

I know, just was telling OP how to do it. But as I said - for me did not work, no difference whatsoever.
