    hey all,

got a quick question, i think i got a perfect niche for a Micro niche site, but the problem is the .com domain is already taken, but is not ranked on the first 3 sites of google, would it be possible just to use a .net domain? it will be the mylongtailkeyword.net then, would it be recommended?

Thanks in advance for any help given

Yes go ahead as the dude with the .com seems at this time out of the picture so get your net established now and likely you will keep the top spot

    Good luck :)

Definitely go for it. Its not vital to have a .com and I've spoken to lots of marketers who have managed to rank ahead of EMD .com with a different domain extension in a very competitive niche!

Get the .org if that's still available.

For whatever reason .org's seem to do better than .net's for me but I don't have any real data backing that, it just seems that way...

if you still want to work on it, you can add an additional letter in the end of domains word, i think it still works great to compete
