I have some questions on how instagram works.

If you have an account and you buy lets say 1000 - 5000 followers, i'm assuming instagram would flag your account in some sort of way, whether that be by not promoting your page as much or ending up being shadow banned. Is this a correct theory?

I am asking this because I have an account (lets call this account XYZ) that is a couple of years old and I use it somewhat to like check up on things. If i do decided to buy around 5000 followers, would I risk my other accounts (NOT XYZ) not growing because it has been logged on with the same IP and botted another account that is tied to my IP?

If so is there any precautions I would need to take?

One last thing. I have been seeing on instagram if you want to block an account, theres also an option to block accounts that may create. Has anyone else seen this? If so is there any theories that explains what goes on behind the scenes in order for them to do this?

Yes and Yes to both questions. You will get at least flagged so don't do it.

Only organic growth for IG. Other than that is waste of time and money. Buying fake followers is counterproductive.

What if its more on the aesthetic side. I want to test an account out, like testing the services, so i dont care about likes or actual engagement. I just having to have the followers on a blank account with no posts or anything.

Definately Yes.

I don't think so,Not experienced this thing yet.

But lets say all i want is a blank account with 5000 followers. No posts or anything like that, and not planning on ever posting. Is there any downsides to this?

IG hasn’t and probably never will reveal how exactly it identifies linked accounts as that’d defeat the purpose. As far as theories go, several footprints (not just IP) + a very smart AI.
The social network does not make it clear how it performs this block, but it is believed that the data policy will help in this case, because it allows the collection of “unique identifiers, device IDs and other identifiers”. That is, it recognizes the device where the new account was created, facilitating the blocking.
