What do I do if the site I want to sell on flippa is on a hostgator share plan with 20 other domains? Can i transfer the site and all without messing up the google rankings?

When you transfer the site all you are really doing is backing it up and then moving it to a new server, so yes you can.
Will you mess up the Google rankings. Well that depends on a lot of factors including where in the world the new server is located and whether or not the new site will have its own ip address or not but generally speaking it should not have a drastic effect.
