Questions about dropshipping with Ebay and Amazon

I have found multiple products to drop ship for much less than the competition on these websites, but it is products in the 500-1500 dollar range and I don't have enough to cover some of these.

I just read Amazon's payment FAQ and it says they release the money to your Amazon account after you ship it, but you can't get it in your bank for at least 3-5 days which is a problem if I need the money before I can ship it.

I've sold stuff on Ebay before and got the money before I shipped it, but is there anyway I can get screwed, like take the money, buy it from the wholesaler, and Ebay or Paypal does a charge back and now the item is on the way to the customer who didn't pay?

I am a top rated seller on ebay, and also a powerseller.
I learned a lot of things over my first year, so this is something I have some knowledge on.

Ebay has policies in place to prevent these kind of situations. But it's still a Buyer's market.
Chargebacks can and will happen no matter what you do to protect yourself (though one has never happened to me, I have heard horror stories from other members dealing with scammers on Ebay). Basically though, they cannot open a case up with Ebay and Paypal at the same time. They have to chose one or the other. Also, the item has to show delievered before they can do a charge back. Ebay has your back more than Paypal does, as they have really good seller's protection policies. If they open up a case with Paypal, it doesn't matter if your story is true, sometimes Paypal will just grant them the chargeback and you're out of all the money you paid your drop shipper plus your profit. I'm new to drop shipping, however. My becoming a powerseller resulted from my own goods here at home and estate finds. Now that I'm interested in Drop shipping, I'm doing everything I can to figure out how to avoid being screwed. What I'm most concerned about is never actually seeing the product. If the item is not as described, Ebay will grant your buyer a Win and you will lose the case and the money..

If you don't have a lot of money, I suggest you to focus items that under $100 and promote these on eBay only. Avoid electronic stuff e.g: gadget. Because the dropshipping is high risk if you are newbie.
