I am thinking of getting into dropshipping. I have a website I would like to integrate items to be dropshipped. Wondering if there was any way to not order things manually from the dropshippers themselves. In other words, automate it.

I attempted to search the forum about more info yet all I seem to come up with is incredible lists of people who offer dropshipping services.
I might be asking too much though.

I have in the past operated a webstore which I had everything in stock at my place. Try have the same success except without having the actual goods in stock. The possibility that multiple goods might be coming from different businesses also might be an issue. What would be a good solution to that? Advising all customers that every item is shipped alone?

I am also wondering if just redirecting users to other websites to buy might just be easier and earn a commission?

A couple of noob questions I understand. I just wanna clear some things up before I jump all in.
Thanks.

I have read about MVS for osCommerce. Wondering what opinions are on this? would it be good?

Some of the all-in-one storefronts will allow you to somewhat automate everything, depending on who your distributor is.

I would suggest, however, that you start off with manual orders until you've scaled to the point where it truly makes sense to automate everything fully. Start by batching it, using spreadsheets, flatfile ordering with your distributor until you're big enough that you can bear a few errors, fraud etc. from your automated system.
