Is AGED DOMAIN a domain that was registered many years ago? For example, a domain registered in 2000, active for only 1 month, and then re-registered 20 years later, can it be considered an aged domain?

It is an aged domain, but a low quality one
A high quality one would be a domain registered years ago but it was used, has healthy backlinks, good metrics and a decent topic authority...not just a random register decades ago and nothing else

Best AGED domain name is the one with good traffic (especially recent traffic)... No spam, no porn, casino etc... used on this domain name. Once you got this domain use it around same topic as before.
 
With aged domain you can get away with many things compared with a freshly registered domain. In addition, Google has something called hostingAGE, this was in the latest Google leak documantation.
 
Date of first registration is not relevant and the term "aged domain" is very misleading. What it means is a domain that has an established backlink profile basically.

So even if that domain was live only for a month, but in the meantime managed to get a nice backlink profile which is still alive to this day, then the domain is good to go.

If the site was live for a month, gained no backlinks, then it's simply crap.
 
In my case i got a domain registered and used over 10+ years ago with some solid backlinks from sites, but when checking the domain age in an "domain age checker" it basically just shown the hostingAGE, one of the best advantages with the domain i could say is that each new site added to it seems to be indexed almost directly.

So i rather go with a domain that has at least some good strong backlinks and age since this seems to help out with the indexing in Google
 
Yes it is old domain but SEO value depends on total activity and backlinks, not just initial registration date.

If it had traffic (recently) I would say it is good domain... check if the traffic didn't drop suddenly (google penalty).
 
If the domain is well maintained and has good backlink profile it's worth investing or else you are wasting your money
 
The domain might still hold some value due to its old registration date, but the absence of continuous activity doesn't have the same advantages as a continuously active aged domain.
 
The age of a domain is determined by its Google search ranking rather than its registration date. In this scenario, you must attempt to increase backlinks and traffic to that domain.

It may be aged domain but not a quality domain.

This is not a parameter, i will see if there is 16k traffic, and it is sustaining or growing,
These days i am seeing that about 50% or more sites are either sandboxed or penalized, it does not matters if they had million traffic, the latest situation matters
 
I have the same question, Doman is 20 year old, 0 back link, 0 traffic, its worth buying at Auction, or buy normal at normal price
 
My advice is don't waste your time, if you have plenty of it waste it
 
I don't think whether or not a domain was registered a long time ago really means anything...

I have other Idea, I want landing page, in that we can show multiple projects ( means One builders multiple projects )
 
Nope, might consider if the website was live and loaded with articles that are relevant to the niche you wanna start then you can consider getting it live again and work on it. Always check for the history of domains before purchasing like age, relevant back links, domains name and more.
