    Hi Guys,

I have been running a motivational account for around 6 months but over the last few months have not posted so it looks in active. I built it to 8000 followers.

My question is I wanted to start a personal brand about myself and wanted to know if it is best to either

    1) Start fresh with a new account
    2) Change the account with 8000 followers to the new brand and just delete the posts etc.

The account would be somewhat similar, It would be motivational quotes but more about my day to day life to success.

Any help would be great guys

    Thanks
    Matt

Honestly trial and error works best.

Try changing the name of your account first and changing the name of it too. This may work if not try a new account :)

Tricky but keep in mind most people don't even look at their liked pages constantly unless they favored that page more than others so I would go for it, you probably lose a few but not too many I reckon.

Option 2 is to monetize that page and keep it growing while you start another one that you every now and then promote on your current page and grow it further like you did the first one.

I personally would start a brand new account. I don't think there's a "big" difference whether you start a new account or keep your old one, but I personally want everything to be perfect since the launch of the account. I want my engagement to be normal etc.

New account, and build followers related to your niche, or that you believe would be most likely to engage with your content.

The 8000 follow your content type now, and changing that might mean they are alienated by the change in content, or simply wont interact or engage as its not interesting to them.
