So i am planning for the future, about ranking in other states. I know if i tried to do it locally (goggle places) and i don't have a physical address at that specific state, i wont get ranked correct?

What if i used a friends address, and got a different 1-800 # for each state. Would that work? Is there any way i can find a loop hole?

if it's for business, I suggest you rent a virtual office address rather than a friend's house address

From my one personal experience I ranked my dad's bicycle shop business on the first page of Google within a week with no SEO and a brand new domain and joomla site.

His bike business address and info is his house and cell phone.

I would say you don't need to worry about it. Just pick an address.

... and to go even further... place the address in the middle of all the other places that show up in the map when you do your own searches.

My dad's listing sometimes won't show up on the map listing because his shop/house is on the south side of town far away from all the others on the north side of town.

His website still pops up on the first page, just not in the map listing.
