question - YT links

So I started uploading vids, that are watermarked plus have link in description.

However, my link forwards people to a website related to my niche where i get commissions of sales.

I am getting a big 0% conversion rate. So I a thinking this might not be the best plan (trial and error right?)

I'm wondering if any of you have a better idea as to what I should do - cause this seems like a waste of time....(my technique)

Are videos in the same niche as your website?

yeah dude - preciselly, this is not about making money, but the two are directly linked- its the same thing, the vids are not selling a product.

they watch vids about something and the website sells things that deal with exactly that....

How much traffic did the vids bring you till now?

Well if your videos have like 5 views of course you won't have any conversations. Just don't give up...

my video with the least views has 87 and the most 633
on average they have 300 views with one week of being uploaded - nothing too intense

I am just wondering if perhaps other things might be better - like domain parking?

however if I do get ONE commision - avg orders are in the couple of hundreds and its like 8% commission....


Im also wondering if I should try pushing up the views - maybe that would make more people want to watch a video that has 4k views than 300 views?

I'm just starting off on this so its all new to me and basically experimenting - but thought I would ask.

I have been using youtube for about year now and it DOES convert. People think they are going to convert 10%-20% or even more of views but this is way too optimistic. My views convert at about 1-2% which is considered average for my niche(internet marketing). Also I didnt make a dime on youtube for the first 6 months but I continued to grind it out and kept posting videos. I have in the neighborhood of 150 videos on youtube and I honestly believe the more videos you put up the better the chances you have to convert those views to sales. Therefore, keep grinding and don't give up. The work will eventually pay off.

Yeah I do not have many videos yet - As posted, I started this a week ago, and have been working sometimes more than 16 hour shifts at work. So I am just being impatient, however I do think i need to keep working on this however, asking others for advice can sometimes help speed up the process
