Question: Why unique articles are important?

I have a question please and I am sorry if you find it stupid. I wanted to ask that why is it important to create a unique article to submit in different article sites?
People say that its 80% unique article or its 50% unique article. What dose it means?

Unique articles should be importants for few reason.

1. Because Google is supposed to penalise website with duplicate content.

2. Because good and fresh content is often ranked well if it's posted on related website.

3. Because a lot of directories and web portals will refuse your content if it's found on many other websites.

About you 80% and 50%... i dont really understand what you mean.

Its important to have unique article mainly because of two reasons:

Google do not like duplicate content. if the content that is posted on two websites are the same, they do not provide the value to the readers in the eyes of the google. The readers need only one website to read that article

If you check out the article directories, most of them make it mandatory that the article that you want to post in their website is yours and is not posted elsewhere, mainly because of the google.


If you spin your article in an article spinner like TBS ( it can generate hundreds of articles from a single seed article ), it shows you how unique each of the article shall be from each other. Even though we cant fix a uniqueness percentage for google to value it as as unique content, its better to have the highest percentage that you can get.

One thing to add: While you hunt for the best uniqueness percentage (from experience I found that anything over 70% does the job pretty well) do not forget the article should remain readable so check the spin version and correct for words that do not fit well in phrases.

Something like " Search Motor (spin for engine) Optimization tactics should be used carefully" will decrease your chances to get the article approved or to rank well. Google is getting smarter and smarter nowadys and put more value to content written in good plain english

I could add just one thing to what's said... most of the times, a unique article offers readers a better reading experience than a spun article might. Such an article can cause the reader to click on your offer, buy your product, share it, like it etc. Post panda, such content is deemed as great by Google. If there is 5-10% of a copyscape issue, do not break your head about it, as long as it offers a unique reading experience.

I am thinking to as a question here that whats the correct way to do it.

Is it like this that suppose I have written a new article for my blog.

Now to do better seo I shall submit this article to as many article sites as possible. But each article shall be a little bit different.

OR

Is it like this that I shall simply write some articles with the link to my blog and submit those articles to other article sites?
