[QUESTION] What is your process to develop an article outline for blog articles?

As the title says...What process do you follow? What tools do you use?

I tried searching by threads posted by an user "X" but the search box doesn´t return any data.

I give writers the Income School post recipe. It works pretty well for info content.

Search on Google for the keyword
Use the outline used by the first 10 sites focus entirely on answering or doing justice to the keyword like a user.

Also check the people also seached or related searches.

AI tools sometimes give good outlines.

The key word there is "sometimes". I am not going to "gamble" on it.

Oh I love its long-form editor!

I´ve tried, just for fun, their Quora answer module.

I go into my Quora and open like 10 questions and just copy/paste the question and then copy/paste the answer back...



I went from around 1k views a month to over 7k+

I tell you this because I currently don´t have enough data to say it will be good enough to make some money from blogging which is the main reason why I even invested in it in the first place.

Personally, I surely think it is. Either way, I don´t plan to just blindly post an AI-generated content into a money site as I intend to add my own "touch" and "personality" to the content but it surely will help with my content development process.

Where I believe it fails or I just don´t trust AI tools yet for this is when it comes to article outlines and content optimization. For the ladder, I believe I will be getting a second tool (already target one - Also in Appsumo).

For the article outline, most tools on the market are either too pricey or have credit limitations that just don´t work for me. So, I prefer to do this manually. Hence, why I am currently researching the topic.

Damn, the article is, in fact, in-depth and very detailed but he uses two different sets of paid tools to develop his outlines.

But I feel it´s just not worth it for me. I feel it´s just way too much to invest in an article outline, might as well get SurferSEO or something similar. Looking for something on the lower end of the price spectrum.

I don´t mind using free tools for this. Researching on this topic, I think I found a few great tutorials on YouTube and some more info I found on Google that will help me build the structure of an article outline process.

My method is weird so don't blame me.
I get an article for a specific keyword then post it and then monitor it and use GSC to see what google likes and then optimise it using GSC data.
Basically... I throw shit at the wall and see what sticks.

PS: so many times I've burnt myself with "keyword analysis tools".

that's what I've been doing for some of the articles. It works.

but if it's a long form hand-written article, it can be very time consuming to re-edit based on gsa data because you need to look at the content from the beginning especially when it's a niche you are not familiar with, and sometimes you need to re-edit for many times. So I'd recommend go for at least 85% optimized before publishing for the best ROI.

I have a very simple way to find new topic ideas and content to write and you may find it useful too. It is less expensive and less time consuming. I am sure many webmasters in this forum are already following this.

• Firstly find the top articles from your competitors website. Identify which articles are bringing most traffic to them.
• Extract the keywords from their top articles and get article topic ideas.
• Do your own research to find related keywords.
• Develop your own article on that topic and include those keywords in it.
• Build some links pointing to that new article in your website.

Thanks but finding topic ideas to write about wasn´t what I was asking.
