I got a bit paranoid when I found out that one of our reputable forum member got banned from AA because he was using amazon products images on his website.

But don't we all?
I checked about 10-15 top websites in my niche and they all do that. Well some of them mix them with API, but it does't change the fact that they host some of the images at their website.
So do I.

And I believe that 80-90 percent of review websites do that...
Wondering how do they choose which website deserves a ban...

So, how many of you using amazon product images? Downloading from amazon and uploading to your website?

Feel free to share any thoughts about that ;)

Better safe than sorry, I use AAWP to get amazon product images using their API.

I get what you are saying? But lets be honest

Why do you want to risk it? You spend months of hard work and money? Why do you risk so much for so little

Api does a decent job of pulling images.

I am kind of paranoid of taking a risk that might get me banned that too for such little benefit.

The risk outweighs profit by a large margin.

I use aawp for pretty much everything, It works decent

I am curious about this as well. People said that Amazon dont care if the top affiliates do that, and that might be true.

No only idiots get banned. Its simple, you just have to follow the agreement that you agreed to. That is all. If you follow that, you dont get banned. They dont just randomly ban people without a reason... most likely got banned for using product images not relating to a product they were promoting on that page.

You can use any product images as long as you don't add your aff link to them. So, you need to use API if you want an image with your aff link.
