Hello! BHW Members

Still I'm Creating a SEO Report. In Header tag analysis, Title tag and H1 tags are same.It's Ok..But some of the Websites don't have a <H2> tags.

<H1> tag is most important.Because it's used to display Main Subject.

My question is <H2> tag is important or not.Many websites are using <span> tags.

How is that possible how a website don't have a H2 tag? Ir you meant to say don't have H1 and on what platform is the site?

If you viewing the source code of the website.it doesn't have a <H2>tags.
for example, bigflix (dot) com have no source code

headings tag are not mandatory, but they are used to split your content and give a good overview of your content.On the SEO side, I will tell to my customers that H1 is a must have but not the others.

don't follow others ... just go with the rules. Heading tags plays an important role to display the headings and titles.

you can skip H2 and go for H3
but i prefer:

H1 (as title)
paragraph (short descripition)
H2
Paragraph
H3
Bullets
H4
paragraph
bold
paragraph

makes text more readable and from my experience helps with ranking if you keep some standard formatting, since users stay longer on your site and know what part of content is important.

H2 is still quite important, i don't understand how you can have H1 and no h2.... you need titles for your paragraphes right ?

He can have no h2 because he hasn't used them. Either his theme was smart enough to not automatically use them and he did not add them when writing the content, or he is not in wordpress and he didn't add them.

Here are the heading tag rules:

a properly optimized page will have 1 h1 only, at least one h2, and one h3.

These heading tags are designed to tell search engines that the info contained in them is more important than other information on the page.

They should be used for content titling, not to control font size.
