Hey there.

I've created an landing page, with one more additional page to it. My question here is should I upload an SSL certificate to it? It's a BH niche so I'm not sure if I can and should do it. I'ts one year certificate that I've got from namecheap when I bought hosting and domain.

Looking forward to hear from you.

If you can add an SSL, add an SSL. There's nothing harmful in it.

And it'll save you from those browser warnings and increase the reader's trust.

Ok I went for the SSL Certificate but apparently I did something wrong. I'll provide you with the details of what I've done in hope for some guidelines. So, here's what I've done:

I followed steps from this guide: https://www.name.com/support/articles/235646788-Applying-a-Certificate-CRT-through-cPanel

I've got certificate from Comodo Security Services.

I've checked the files under /home/domainname - /ssl , they all are generated at the time I instaled the certificate. I guess that's good.

However when I did all of that and reloaded my website it still showed Not Secure warning.

Any help on this?

Didn't know about bumb rule, thanks for the tip.

About cloudflare, what can I do with it? It's not necessary for me to have SSL certificate, just want to use this one as I got it for free.

I've solved it. In the end I realized that I have to redirect my site to https connection. This thread can be closed.

User letsencrypt which is free. But if you already have bought an SSL, then use it.
