Question regarding redirecting internal pages

I currently own a local business and my website is in HTML, I current do some SEO on internal pages ex; mydomain.com/newyork.html. I would like to change my website to wordpress, can i redirect all the backlinks from mydomain.com/newyork.html to a page a create with wordpress? or is all the SEO I have done on those internal pages wasted. Thanks
