Question Regarding Domains & Hosting

Hello, so I have a website hosted with hostwinds.com and I lets say I want to create a forum for this website using a subdomain for example forum.website.com

But I want to host my forum on another host, for example with hawkhost.com. Is this possible? If so how exactly would this be done?

Your domain points to the earlier host so you can create subdomain in that host only else move to newer host. It may possible but risky, best suggestion is to move hawk host and start your forums.

I was just thinking it would be really cool to create an image host, and create dozens of subdomains spread across shared hosts for example
1.imghost.com - hawkhost.com
2.imghost.com - hostwinds.com
3.imghost.com - hostgator.com
etc
etc
etc

I guess it would be pretty stupid because you could just buy a strong dedicated server. Lol anyways just an idea I had that is all.

you can't host your sub domain in different hosting..
