Question Regarding Best Footer Practices

Hey all, I had a quick question regarding footer practices for sites that don't rely much on words, more so the content (think videos and pics)

My site in question is adult, and the premise is users upload pics/gifs/videos, write a title, add some tags, and click publish.

The site is a few years old now and has been performing great in search since its creation, however I am looking to take it up a notch.

I think one of the main things holding it back is a lack of copy. I noticed on a competitors website (largest competitor by far) they have a footer on their home page describing the site and hitting a ton of keywords.

The footer copy they have is 572 words in length and contains NO links. This copy also ONLY displays on the HOME page of the site, it's not displayed in the footer anywhere else.

I wrote my own copy now for my site, and it's about 400 words in length.

My question is this - Should I be placing this on my footer for ONLY my home page as well? Is there any harm in making it a global footer and having it displayed on every page? Would that be getting in trouble in regards to duplicate content?

You won't have any dupplicate content with the footer if you choose to do a site-wide footer.

You should si if the 400 words is relevant to the other pages tho. Maybe could you generate (automatized) 300-400 words texts for each video page you want to rank for; it could be more relevant to GG. But in any case a global footer will not hurt your ranking.
