Question: Putting article content in tabs and real content below?

Basically I'm in a niche that by outsourcing article writing it's really hard for any writers to write content that would be suitable for my target audience. It's still great content, don't get me wrong top notch writing, but it's still not something that I think my readers would sit and read. My target audience is more visual than anything, but I need content to put on pages.

My wordpress theme has a tabs shortcode that basically allows me to put text in a dropdown menu. It looks really good, but my question is, will Google see this content and count it if it's in a dropdown menu/tab? I'm pretty sure they would, I just want to make sure. I have some premium visuals and content below this tab to engage my users.

Good thought and great question .. I was considering a similar approach, and also potentially putting a video in one of the tabs and making that the default tab, with consideration that loading page might suffer. A trade off absolutely.

The plan I had was based on a 'fancy tabs' WP plugin, not a menu tab style ... and I am not sure of that design ... can you share the theme you are considering please?

In my plan I do not see a problem with G bots not seeing the content, because it is all on the page they crawl, not in an iframe etc.
