Question on plugins / method to scrape YouTube for automated WP category site

I stumbled over this domain that is ranking very high for a number of category related searches. What they've done is literally copied the entire description of all YouTube videos within categories, autotagged them based on a set of rules and posted each with proper on page SEO.


What I'd like to know is does anyone have any idea what plugins they used? Also, can you determine what they've done to drive backlinks?

Basically, we want to clone this site for another category as an experiment.

Oh, and it looks like they've automated the comments on each post. How would you set that up? Does it need to rotate IP for each post? How to do that?
