Nope, I meant, what happens if I keep on building niche edit links (from different relevant sites) to my site

That's totally fine. If the niche edit pages have a good reputation, then your page will benefit.
Your page will probably be crawled more often and there will be a positive effect on the ranking.

I believe there are some kinds that aren't as 'fishy' to the algorithm than others. For example, any site getting 10 niche edits back to back doesn't seem as natural, as compared to getting 10 guest posts back to back.
However, if you space them out well (depending on the past link-building trend), I think it shouldn't be much of a problem.

No, site should have diversified backlink profile. You would want generally to build pillow links like forum links, citations etc with natural ancors (nKAED url, generic and brand) and then use guest posts and nihce edits as heavy artillery with money anchors.

It is best to get links from Different domains, instead of one domain, if that website is hit by Google, then your website ranking will go down, so focus to gain links from different domains.

@Lavender_Strings A diversified backlink profile looks natural. If your content is good enough then over the period of time you will anyways get some good natural links too, that will make your backlink profile rich. However if you are actively building links then you should focus on various types of links for sure.

It's not an issue if the link is quality and relevant to your niche. It is best if the link is inserted naturally.

Yes it would increase the authority of your site if you inserted the links or published the articles but make sure the sites where you insert your sites backlink is high rating in google

It will be good as compared to Guest posting because link insertion or niche edit provides fast Authority to the other sites
