I've been reading this can be an issue and I was wondering how people are handling this. If I create 10 2.0 web blogs that link to my main site will this be an issue if this is all done on the same ip?

No it doesn't matter. IP diversity means the IP of the domain they are coming from, not your actual IP. For example wordpress, blogger and tumblr are three different unique IP's, however if you were to create 3 wordpress blogs then this would be 3 blogs on the same IP.
