Question on keywords + search vol

do u guys usually try to ignore kw with high competition and try

to go for low competition ?

not too sure how to start on this as the kw im gg for seems really high compettion

and for the low competition , the search vol seems really low .

do any of u target keywords which has low competition + low search vol ?

is it worth the time ?

You have to check out competitors tactics for that high competition keywords. Find out, is it possible to beat with your budget and time.It depend on your knowledge as well.

I personally go for many long tail keywords with low competion instead of choosing the high competition keywords. You can bring same amount of traffic by ranking for many keywords. Initial stage if you done it, then you can go for the high competition keywords without risks.

Google also get you to the top easily if your low competition keywords users are happy. Initial stage you have to build the reputation and trustworthy.

You can`t ignore keyword difficulty. That one of the most important elements of any keyword research process.

You`re looking at it from the wrong perspective.

Think about it like this...

Focus on targeting keywords with a very low competition if you`re starting a brand new site. Give your site some time to build some authority and topical relevance before tackling more difficult keywords by ranking for keywords the fastest way possible.

I build to the higher comp keywords and target relevant sub-keywords underneath. I'm a writer. Just what I do!

You can try out Keywordplanner, answerthepublic these two options also for your keyword research. If you are willing to pay for the tool then I would suggest for semrush.

Like others have said you need to start out ranking very low completion keywords.

The low completion keywords you try ranking for should be very closely related to the high competition keyword you will want to rank later. Build lots of branded and naked URL backlinks. Also build some keyword and longtail anchors to rank the low completion keywords. All of this will tell Google what your website is about and build some authority in that particular niche. The backlinks will help power up the site as well.

Once you have several low completion keywords ranking well, you can publish your content for your high competition keyword. Add a few internal links to the high competition keyword page from pages that are ranking using longtail and keyword anchors. It's best to have those keywords already in the content so you only need to add the link.

While this makes it easier to rank harder words, it still won't be easy

Ubbersuggest suggest is trash. I won't advise anyone to use it. I wasted my time using ubbersuggest
If you need excellent results for your keyword research, I advise you to use Semrush, Kwfinder or Ahref.
They are paid tools but Semrush has free trial

My suggestion is always semrush particularly for keywords research which gives reliable results.

If you go with free tool means, none of them gives accurate info. IMO ubbersuggest details nearby accurate results. It is better than other free tools. Not the best though

No one should use them because if you compare the results you are getting from ubbersuggest suggests to that of ahref, Semrush, you will see different results for keyword research.
Recently, Ubersuggest have been exposed for using a fake software in generating keywords research results.
They read your data and give you the results of what you always search for

hey guys , i got sem rush , but there are so many options and features ,its kinda confusing ...
what i wanna do now is go for long tailed , high volume , low competition keywords

is there like a way to go about find for them > ?

With my experience, everything has exceptions. If you just start, try with low volume/low competition. This does not bring much traffic but I believe it is good in google's eyes to appear on the first/second page of search results at least for something. And then, if you see you are successful for this or that volume/competition go upper. One step at a time. This worked for me in this cruel world of blogging

interesting...ubersuggest just became paid and I was actually going to pay those 10 dollars monthly as it is so cheap as compare to ahrefs...now I am in doubt
