1. How many internal links can a blog have?

2. And how often should we add internal links to the blog posts? Can we add 2 or 3 links in the same paragraph?

I am aware that there is no specific rule, but I'd like to know what's the best practice that you all follow.

Why the same paragraph? I add links based on the word count.

If you've 2 keywords in a paragraph, and you've covered the topics well on other pages, you can reference them.

However, I live to spread my links on the page, and would rather find a way to link to the second page in other paragraphs even without using the most related keyword phrase.

but I'd like to know what's the best practice that you all follow.
1) link to the page that has the most relevant content to your anchor text
2) all pages should have at least 1 internal link (because they'd be considered orphaned pages and risk getting de-ranked or even de-indexed)

These are the only 2 best practices that I know of, if other people know more I'm all ears

It depends. Internal links are used to direct people to relevant and useful content on site.

The number of links per page is irrelevant. It's the content your linking to that matters.

Use as many internal links as you like, as long as it makes sense to do so.

Internal linking for the sake of it, will have no SEO benefit.

You can add 3 links maximum for 1000 words of content. This is not a rule, but you can follow it. But if you find more keywords that are relevant to your other content, then you can add more links.

  1. Aim for 2-3 relevant and valuable internal links per 500 words of content.
  2. Spread out internal links throughout the post to make them more natural and less spammy. Multiple links in the same paragraph are okay if they discuss a specific topic or concept, as long as they add value to the reader.

1. There is no prescribed limit, the internal link have to be done naturally and should be relevant to article and informative for user.
2,. Its not good idea to place multiple links in same paragraph. Only if its provides more information to user, you can add it.

There is not any prescribed limit on how many internal links can a page have. However you have to use your conscious and add internal links logically. Overdoing will ruin the user experience and make your page look like spam.

Remember, the basic purpose of internal links is to facilitate the user to navigate other important and relevant pages in your site. Its another important use is to facilitate smooth crawling of a search engine spiders throughout your site.

So use internal linking judiciously. Not too much, not too less.

1. You add minimum 4 internal links but maximum internal links is depends on the content and the necessity on it but never try to insert links forcefully
2. It would be better if place only 1 link in the same paragraph, maximum 2 (in rare case, if it is really necessity)

1. There is no specific limit to the number of internal links that a blog can have. It depends upon the length and quality of the content. By including enough internal links to make it easy for users to navigate your site and find related content. Else too many internal links may actually harm your site's SEO.

2. If too many links in one paragraph which can make the content appear spammy and difficult to read. Instead, you can include one or two relevant internal links of your post, depending on the length and structure of your content.
