Hopefully someone here would know this, but I was looking at how I might increase my keyword density on pages without resorting to anything spammy or black-hat (just for 1 site I have, I embrace BH on others
)
Anyway, I know search engine bots read all text from your page, which would include the templated stuff in sidebars, headers and footers that's the same on every page, so my question is if I were to place everything except my primary page content and site navigation links into iframes shouldn't that increase my keyword density for the main content simply by lowering the overall text count on the page?
I know search engines can read iframe content, but as I understand it the iframe pages are viewed as separate pages by the bots, so in theory it seems like this would be useful, but I'd appreciate any thoughts/experiences from others before I go messing with my site since it's pretty huge and I'd hate to knock myself down in the SERPs by mistake.
Thanks.
