Question on if buying a premium domain is worth it...

Hey guys would like some opinions, the domain I found is exact match for the two keyword phrase I want, the competition is decent on google (nothing insane but not too weak either).
its a net domain name

They want 1k, for the domain, here are some stats for it.
9 years old
3 million indexed pages for exact phrase search
450k monthly searches (according to google keywords)
says the avg cpc is dollar

Well, I figure the CPC would show it is? If it has a decent amount of search volume and a dollar per cpc avg? Or am I wrong? How would you judge if the niche was profitable?
