Question on geo targetted proxy

Hi guys, I am having trouble. I am trying to bring up local search results for a city that I purchased proxies in for this exact purpose. The only problem is, it's still showing the SERP that I get when I run a G search from where I live. Any thoughts on this? Does G "know" that I am using a proxy, and so they show me a generic SERP?

What type of proxies are you using? If the geo location of the proxies indeed show you in that area then even if Google knows
you are using a proxy it will not affect the search results.
