Hi guys. I have some basic questions. The "So Called Gurus" selling their courses have gotten me confused. Alot of them advocate different targeting methods and budgets. Some even advocate as little as $1dollar to test an adset/product. I really need some setting straight.

1.How much do u have to spend before the darn pixel gets warmed up? im spending like crazy here and there targetting changing things around and testing!
2.How do you determine if the $5 TEST was successful? Must it have gotten you a sale at after the 3 days? Must you have gotten xxx amount of engagement? i dont really get it.
    3. Why spend $5 a day & Test for 3 days instead of $15 a day for 1 day?

Ive blown nearly $400 dollars in about 4-5 different products with nothing to show. Ive tried Free + shipping, 60% OFF + Free Shipping, Video Ads, Carousel Ads, Static Image Ads. The only lesson I've learnt is that its impossible to make money unless the darn post goes viral by some means but How On Earth Does One Achieve it?!

I've seen ridiculously simple products and images getting thousands upon thousands of likes.

Please some advice is really needed here if possible thanks.

    1. You can't blame the pixel. You just need to have experience. I started a new store a few weeks ago as a backup, the first week I had 100 orders with a brand new pixel.

    2.if you start making money.

    3. Idk

    4. Your post doest need to go viral. I launched ads yesterday for a product. I have 16 likes, q comment, 3 shares. And 5 sales. It is profitable and making money. So you don't need a viral post

It all about picking the correct product ,
And finding the same product from aliexspess

Then sell it, for a profit price

Products usally sell there self .

    Testing and split testing.

Testing a promotion cost money you split test products with campains usally bing or adwords or both .

Once you find a winning product you promote the product to get traffic and even more sales .

    Almost there
    1. Some people at facebook said the pixel need at least 25 conversion, so if you have 25 VC you can go to ATC then PUR but in the end its your call
    2. You can determine if you receive any link clicks, 0 clicks even after $5 your target/adset/product is off and you need to change something
    3. Its your choice, you can spend $5 dollars for 3 days or $15 in a single one
    4. Like lunaa have said it doesnt need to go viral, i had a post that went viral and made 0 sales

To find proper selling products can be done with amazon .

All the hot selling products will earn you cash , but saying that you must get the product wholesale from aliexspress and price up a profit.

Undercutting the compitition will be a good strategy,

But there even better ways , just becouse your product needs to sell for more money then your competition dont mean you can not sell more , just need to promote the item a bit better then the competition .

Hey man, I'll try to answer your questions as per my experience with Facebook Ads.

    1. Pixel optimization doesn't depend upon the amount you spend but the data it receives. Initially, only worry about sending as many visits to your site as you can at low costs. What sort of ads are you running?

    2. You need to understand that not all Ads are meant for sales so there's obviously different criteria to determine the success of an Ad you've run. I only deal with 3 types of Ads for now - PPE , Website Conversion(View Content) , Website Conversion (Purchase)

PPE - Page post engagement. The name says it all. These type of Ads are meant to increase the engagement on the page post and nothing else. You'd be lucky to get sales through PPE Ads. Most people quit dropshipping entirely when they don't get sales after spending $15 on PPE ads. I would determine a PPE Ad has succeeded if it's given me a good number of post engagements at low costs ($0.1 or lower)

    upload_2017-5-1_0-10-34.png
This is my best PPE Ad till date. It's run at a cost of $0.01 on average since it's start. It's spent about $1000 to give me sales worth $2169. The sales are just an added advantage.

Website Conversion(View Content) - These ads are meant for website visits to your product page. Your ad is shown to people more prone to clicking and visiting your site and checking your product pages. It's not uncommon to get sales through your ViewContent Ads. It's actually a good sign that you're doing something right. I would determine that a VC Ad has succeeded if it's given a good number of website visits at low costs($0.1 or lower) and maybe even a few sales. If you do have a VC Ad that's run at low costs but hasn't given you sales, don't be disheartened. You'll only need to tweak your site or product page a little to get that sale, maybe lower the price or change the text.

    upload_2017-5-1_0-12-29.png

This is my best ViewContent Ad running at an average cost of $0.04. It was also the ad to give me my first few sales. It's spent $1274 and given me sales worth $7000 till date.

Website Conversion(Purchase) - These ads are solely meant to drive sales on your store. I'd determine this ad ran well if it gave me a few sales at low costs. If the cost per purchase is more than $5-6 after 3 days then run it for 2-3 days more and let it optimize. The costs should come down.

    upload_2017-5-1_0-14-53.png

This is my 2nd best Purchase Ad running at an average cost of $5/sale. It's spent about $1800 to give me sales worth $12,4000.

    3. Facebook will spend as much as you give it and if you have a brand new pixel with no data to optimize your ads with, then it will spend senselessly. It will blow through the $15 you give it in a day and give you really bad results at high costs. However, when that's distributed over 3 days, it optimizes the ad over 3 days and keeps trying to lower the costs. I've seen ads start with $0.1 and end up at $0.001 at end of the 3-4 days.

If you have a new pixel and it's a brand new store, follow this pattern -

    1. Make 4-5 product page posts on your page, look at adcopies of large pages in your niche and do it like them. Be sure to tag your product in post image.
    2. Make PPE Ads for all products at $5/day for the post with a broad audience ( 5-8M) .
    3. At the end of 3 days, see what ads have performed well with low costs and keep them and then make ViewContent Ads for them.

Make AddToCart Ads for products only after they've had 20-30 sales through the ViewContent Ads. People suggesting moving onto ATC Ads after ViewContent but I directly jumped to Purchase ads.

Here's my final breakdown of Adspend. It's spent $10,000 to make sales worth $51,000.

    Good luck mate! :)

Follow up on whats been happening with me. I got a sale though it had to be refunded or whatever. =( Also had issues with paypal. Not sure whether the transaction actually fully went through. Not sure if there was any money in the first place.

1 of my PPE adsets started kicking off the ground. Im converting it to a WC and hope for the best.

What do you mean when you say you're converting it into a WC? You mean you're making a WC ad for it?

Thank you so much for the advice! I'm a total newb at FB Ads so I have a question regarding this and it doesn't have to be Cryogenesis to answer. Out of 3 ads I started for PPE, I have one that's doing pretty well and I wasn't sure what is meant for step 3. Do you keep the ads that performed well running (maybe increase budget too?) AND make a new ViewContent ad for the same post. Does that mean you duplicate the campaign into a ViewContent ad?
