That's how DA works... you increase with high DA links. The problem with DA is that it's easy to manipulate and it counts all the links Moz can find so technically you can have DA 70 and rank for 0 keywords.
Yes, it does. But a high DA doesn't say anything, it is just a metric that some company (MOZ) developed. Regarding backlinks, it is more important to look at the traffic of the site you want a backlink from. High traffic means that the site is still in favor of Google, and the backlink will probably be worth more for your site. There are lots of DA 60+ or even DA 70+ sites that have about 0 traffic - which is a clear sign that Google doesn't like them. And why should Google care about a backlink from these kinds of sites to your site, then? Not to mention that it is quite easy and cheap to inflate your DA and DR artificially.

Yes it does. Use only that websites with "following" link. and DONT use unfollow ones because its almost uselss.

yes it would increase make sure the links are index means the backlinks shall be index to pass the DA to your domain , plus DA could be easily manipulated
