Question on backlinking my backlinks

Ok excuse my newbness here.

I am trying to break the top 5 on the googles for my money keywords. I just can not seem to make the jump.

As suggested on here I need to strengthen my tier 1 backlinks to pass more authority up to my site.

Couple of questions on this.

The only tool I have is SenukeX.

First does anchor text matter to these Tier 1 sites? Or should I just throw in closely related terms?

Next what quality level do I need for these links to matter? Should I use SeNuke or Fivver xrunner and SB blasts?

Have you actually carried out any sort of analysis on the people ranking above you?

If you haven't, check their onsite stats (wo o rank.com) and then check their backlinks (opensit eexplorer) and compare it against your site.

It should be pretty obvious as to why they are outranking you.

You should try and make use of social profiles (youtube, facebook, twitter, google+1) if you haven't already. Googles algo makes use of social signal.

You should also make sure your website has a privacy policy, terms and conditions, and contact page (at the very least) as this is one of the ways that they check a sites quality.

Other than I'd suggest diversifying your link portfolio. If you keep getting the same types of links (forum links only for example) it seems far too mechanised and the gains will minimize.

In terms of anchor text, you should link build to related keywords (e.g. Cosmetic Dentist + Private Dentist are interlinked - search for this on google you will see it will highlight either for either search as Google relates keywords to one another).

I should have included a bit more information. I use (used to now since the change) market samurai to check in on my competitors. We for all purposes should out rank them. Our site is 10 years old, more indexed content, on page optimization is good.

I have no idea how to get into the social signal realm I will do a search on the forums.

And I have not heard of rank site that site looks good I will play with it some.
