Question: Old article from money site -> article for linkbuilding

Hey guys!

I was wondering; I have article on my money site which is indexed in Google. Can I replace it with another article (fe. because it has better quality, is nicely written, is longer, ....), let it re-indexed and use the old article in some Web 2.0 site or article directories for linkbuilding? Would it be counted as a duplicate article or not?

It might, you might need to give it some time to de-index first though so you don't run into that problem, but not 100% sure.
